JULY 17 - 21, 2017
In this intensive one-week course, participants gain an understanding of the principles of costume design for theatre and how costume design signals and defines culture.
Participants will explore text and character analysis, concept development, director collaboration and period research. Participants will develop rendering skills through understanding figure and period silhouettes, understanding scale, exploring rendering techniques using pencil and watercolour, learning presentation techniques and developing rough sketches through to final costume design plates

The low student-to-teacher ratio in each course ensures instruction is geared to the participants' skill level and experience. Please indicate your related experience when you register.
