2017 REGISTRATION CLOSED
Mask Making is also part of the five-week Theatre Arts Production Program.
AUGUST 7 - 11, 2017
In this intensive course, participants learn to sculpt, construct and decorate theatrical masks, using a variety of materials to create fantastical stage beings. Participants will interpret designs, create plaster face moulds, form casts, model with plasticine and form plastic bases using our vacuum forming machine. Additional techniques include using wire and tape to create masks.
The low student-to-teacher ratio in each course ensures instruction is geared to the participants' skill level and experience. Please indicate your related experience when you register.
The course fee covers the cost of basic materials required during the course. In this course, participants have the opportunity to work on personal projects. Depending on the complexity of those projects, additional costs for materials may be incurred and are the responsibility of the student.
