ABOUT THE ARTIST:

 

Connie Puetz is a Senior Craftsperson, in the Boots and Shoes department at the Stratford Festival.

​

Connie graduated from Sheridan College in the Technical Theatre program, then began working at the Festival in 1989 as a Wardrobe Attendant.  In 1993, she moved into Boots and Shoes, where she spent many years learning and honing the craft of shoemaking.

​

Connie has since provided boots and shoes for hundreds of shows at the Festival, in every historical period from Medieval to Modern. She has trained and supervised junior staff, as well as taught numerous private workshops in shoe maintenance and shoemaking.
