Off the wall Theatre Production Facilities
Off the Wall is committed to keeping a clean and safe classroom and studio so that learning can happen in the safest way possible. We will provide personal protective equipment for all students upon their arrival to the studio. The space will be regularly cleaned and sanitized for the duration of the course. Maintaining cleanliness during the course can be only done with students accepting their responsibility for their role in ensuring the safety of others.
Mask Making may be taken as part of the
Theatre Production Arts certificate.

In this intensive, one-week course, participants learn to sculpt, construct and decorate theatrical masks using a variety of materials to create fantastical stage beings.
Students will learn and expand on the following skills:
Develop interesting and effective characters that will read well on a theatrical stage.
Learn effective techniques for sculpting with Plasticine.
Create a plastic positive of your mask design with our vacuum-form machine.
Explore different mask-making techniques through a myriad of demonstrations.
Discover new techniques to create wire, buckram, foam and additive sculpture masks.
Develop skills to fit masks properly to actors.
Learn painting techniques that will enhance your sculpted mask.
The low student-to-teacher ratio in each course ensures instruction is geared to the participant's skill level and experience. Please indicate your related experience when you register.

How do I take advantage of package deal offer?
If you are interested in two or three courses, register and pay the deposit for each course. Our Registrar will then calculate the discount and invoice you for the balance owing via PayPal.
Take five one-week courses and receive an
Off the Wall Theatre Production Arts Certificate (TPA). Cost for the TPA program is $2000, representing a discount of $110 to $125 per course. All materials are supplied. Please note there will be a material surcharge of $35 for Artistic Welding, Makeup Intensive, Millinery and Drops & Murals.
Participants also receive complimentary tickets for many Stratford Festival productions.
