Melissa ‘Maloo’ Veal has over 30 years’ experience as a Wig Designer and Wig Master.

​

She trained at the Stratford Festival, working 10 seasons in the Wig Department. Her wig work took her to Chicago where she was Wig and Makeup Designer for Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

 

Her Design work garnered her 2 Jeff Awards for Artistic Specialization and Wig and Makeup Design. Selected Theatre Work in Canada: The Grand Theater in London, Tarragon Theatre, The Shaw Festival; and in the US: Lookingglass Theatre, The Black Ensemble Theatre, Northwestern University, and Notre Dame Theatre. Special Projects credits include: The Malkovich Projects and Psychogenic Fugue.
